Casino Trees and Plants are how TreeScapes & PlantWorks got started, and they remain one of the biggest industries we serve to this day. We have a showroom and offices in Las Vegas, so we’re just minutes away from the biggest casinos and hotels, both on and off the Vegas Strip.
Preserved Palm Trees first became a casino attraction in 1989, at the official opening of The Mirage Hotel & Casino. It was the first new casino and resort built in Vegas for over sixteen years and was the largest hotel in the world at that time.
Many of our artisans played an important role in creating the artificial plants and trees for the launch of The Mirage. Lifescapes International, Inc. designed the Mirage Atrium attraction that included over 200 Preserved Palm Trees. They were paired with Artificial Plants and Trees that arched over, creating a canopy of greenery and a dramatic display.
The preserved Exotic Washingtonia Robustas with natural tree trunks were made with real palm fronds. Our preservation systems “immortalizes” the foliage so it maintains its look and shape, but doesn’t need watering, trimming, or re-locating due to growth.
In the 30+ years since the Mirage launch, we’ve created thousands of Replica, Fabricated, and Preserved Trees and Plants for casinos around the world. Recent examples include Preserved Palm Trees that were used by MGM Grand for their Eagles’ “Hotel California” tour display.
Casinos use trees and plants for exterior shade, interior decor accents, and column concealment. Our favorite project category, though, might be Floral Art Displays. Various casinos across the world display new themed art installation each season, and our Replica Cherry Blossom Trees have been used several times in their Spring themes.
Another recent design was made to emulate that appeal of an Italian summer day. TreeScapes & PlantWorks provided Replica Lemons, Replica Lemon Foliage, and Replica Lemon Branches for the elaborate display.
