Trees and Green Wall for Senior Community

TreeScapes & PlantWorks were pleased to create artificial trees and a green wall for a senior living community in Ohio! Our replica Mediterranean Olive Trees, featuring real natural wood trunks, and a faux Boxwood Green Wall add a striking presence to the space. Beautiful replica flowers and grasses round out the design and offer a rainbow of colors at every glance.

The trees flank a convenient cafe, which is set next to a playground area. The square planters holding each tree anchor them in place and complement the design present throughout the community. The green wall divides a more formal dining area from the rest of the room, and a bench alongside it provides even more seating. The whole residential leisure space is indoors, so weather will never prevent residents from enjoying the greenery.

The main advantage to choosing faux plants and trees is that they require little to no maintenance. There are many tasks to keep track of at a senior living facility, so it’s nice to be able to remove items from the to-do list. There’s no need to worry about watering, pruning, re-planting, or fertilizing any of our artificial products.

The Mediterranean Olive Trees and Boxwood Green Wall have another distinct advantage: they will never decay, rot, or die. Hospitals, care centers, and senior living communities often choose faux horticultural decor for this reason. Studies have found that the presence of death and decay, in any form, can hinder healing and have a negative effect on patient wellbeing.
