Interior Landscaping at John Wayne Airport
John Wayne Airport is located in Santa Ana, California, and it’s the only commercial service airport in Orange County. They were interested in big preserved Palm Trees, and that’s one of our specialties! TreeScapes & PlantWorks was called upon to provide all of the interior trees and plants, bringing color and excitement to this high traffic location.
The biggest statement pieces at JWA are our majestic, towering, Preserved Washingtonia robusta Palm Trees. These are made from real plant materials, preserved in our proprietary solution. The end result is an “immortalized” Palm Tree that doesn’t need water, sunlight, or upkeep! Big preserved palms like this make a dramatic statement and naturally draw the eye upward, making spaces look taller.
We added another texture layer with the integration of Artificial Oriental Golden Bamboo. These pieces are from our Replica line of products, and they feature Natural Bamboo Cane along with artificial foliage.
We paid special attention to the baggage carousels, because those see constant foot traffic. They also mark a spot where people may be waiting for a while, so it’s important to provide an appealing view. Artificial Reeds are arranged in dense rows, and accented by tropical plants and foliage.
Variegated Sansevieria brings depth and contrast to the horticultural display. The two-tone leaves are eye-catching and beautiful. These were surrounded by various tropical palm and flowering plants, including Artificial Bromeliads, Peace Lillies, Hostas, and Ferns.
The final touches throughout are our Artificial Italian Cypress Trees, which can be considered as Topiary Trees as well. These faux evergreens bring even more texture and height to the overall display.
